I've been thinking about actually decorating for Fall. Yes, I'm still Asian and it seems like a waste of money & time to do seasonal decoration, and I can't really explain why I want to do this but it has something to do with seizing the moment (season) and enjoying the process (not just the results) of things.
Not sure if that made sense to any of you (not sure if that even made sense to me) but that's sort of what I'm feeling right now. It's in tune with this saying that I like so much: When you have 2 pennies left in your pocket, buy a loaf of bread with one and a lily with the other. This is the buying the lily moment for me.
Today I went to Home Depot during lunch to browse. The weather was just so perfect! Sunny, with temperature in the upper 60s. I can stay outside the whole day in this weather. I saw that 1 gallon mums were only 2/$5 so I got one in beautiful shades of orange - perfect for autumn! And I also got an assortment of smaller yellow, orange and deep red mums for the planter.
