After church we were deciding what to do for the rest of the evening when David suggested that we visit Lands End. Lands End is a park in San Francisco just along the Pacific coast. It's also where David proposed to me back in September 2008. So it's a special place for us. When we got there we were surprised to see this new building called Lands End Lookout. It must've been built within that last year. It's a beautiful and modern building. And this cafe had me at hello. :) I'm a lover of cafes and this one is just too cute. The Inside feels like a museum gift shop. The windows have breathtaking views to the Pacific. It happens to be a very sunny day. We left the lookout and decided to walk the coastal trail. This picture shows Sutro Baths, which is full of water right now I'm guessing because of the rain. And of course these familiar coastal cypress were there to greet us. The coastal trail takes you all the way to Golden Gate bridge if you want to walk the entire distance. Along the way we saw healthy nasturtiums! This is on my to-grow list because both the flowers and leaves are edible. I also love the leaf shape. :) About 40 minutes into our hike we had to climb a steep flight of stairs. So we decided to rest our legs on this fallen tree. Isn't it beautiful? This is the view from the fallen tree. Beautiful. We decided to turn around and head back after Eagle's Point. There was this super nice house there. The windows in the back has stunning view of the Pacific Ocean + Gold Gate bridge. We took the El Camino trail back because it's much shorter. It goes through Legion of Honor and the VA hospital and is a nice shaded walk. It was nice to stretch our legs and spend an hour in nature.
