Thanks to David I just got a new camera -- the Samsung WB 250F! And I've been playing with it all night. I decided to take some pictures to see how it compares with the last camera and this tulip + anemone flower arrangement was a good subject. Here's a picture I took with the old camera earlier this week during noon (i.e. the lighting wasn't great, but there was plenty of natural light coming through the skylight). Here's one I took tonight with only the light above the vanity on. I love how the tulips have more dimension and feel softer around the edges and more life-like. Here's a close-up of the anemones I took earlier this week. And here's a photo I took tonight. I have moved some anemones around since earlier this week so the flowers aren't exactly the same. But I do feel it gives a softer yet sharper image. At first I was thinking I want to give photography a try and go for the DSLR. But it's really expensive and having been a point and shoot person all my life, I think it's going to be intimidating to really learn how to use one. David did a lot of research and found this nice in-between camera for me. :) And it's great! So much fun to use and easy, too!
