First up, I love these chairs. They're in great shape and don't need reupholstering unless you can't work with black.
David's parents are here for a week and last Sunday, we took them to the Alameda Antique Faire. It was perfect timing because it happens on the first Sunday of every month. After looking through the pictures I have to apologize for my chair obssession. There were a lot more stuff than just chairs but apparently I didn't notice. First up, I love these chairs. They're in great shape and don't need reupholstering unless you can't work with black. I love this old-school desk/chair combo. If we had kids, I would've wanted to buy this to put in our house as a little arts & craft station. It reminds me so much of the desk/chairs in school when I was in first grade in Taiwan. We used to put our backpacks in the middle during tests to dissuage us from cheating. Just realized these chairs look a lot like the first ones. :) I like Danish/Scandinavian chairs. I think they're well-designed for both comfort and style. I like this French dining chair. I like how the seat is shaped to make your bottom comfy. The next two pictures are sofas with great lines. The fabric of the first one is pretty bad, but may work in some spaces. I love the lines of this one with the high back. It looks classic but updated. The color is great, too and can work both in a traditional or modern home. Coral is really in right now. Somehow I was really drawn to these old iron boards. They look so much nicer than the modern iron boards. Too bad we don't have room for these. I mean, we don't even have a proper laundry room. :) This pair of tufted chairs are okay. I think I'm a bit "tufted-out" with it being the rage for the last solid year. But it could work in another color -- seriously, this blue + white looks too Disney to me. I imagine Cinderella camouflaged in it. This is the coolest chair I saw that day. It's an old wheelchair! This table is nice. Very industrial. More chairs... And finally, a pretty cool chest. Love the hardware. I wonder what it was used for in its previous life. At the end, we bought a rocking chair (the cushion needs to be replaced) for $20. I was surprised it fit in the chair with 4 people in it! I flipped it over when we took it home and realize it has springs underneath. Oh boy, another level up the reupholstery ladder. Wish me luck.
